Notes
This gorgeous piece of Nathan art was done by Neko No Baka. I always love fanart of Nathan, and Neko's done such a beautiful job portraying him. The clever-yet-mischievous look in his eyes is adorable, and I love her bold sketching lines, especially the way the ends of his hair came out – makes me think of when Nathan goes all Rapunzel in Arc I.
The shading gives it a painted feel, especially in that soft, subtle tawny background that makes me think of Nathan's wings. But it really is Nathan's childlike, impish expression that makes this piece feel so warm and sweet, and is a nice, fun contrast to the usual Nathan we see in the comic [although the impishness definitely brings to mind Nathan's ridiculously pleased expression in the bar fight in Arc II, doesn't it?]. Thanks to Neko for such a lovely piece of work. You can find more of her work at Amhelaki Misadventures.
